As Co-founder and CEO of DURST LOCONTO, LLC, Christopher’s primary focus is delivering results. By leveraging proprietary branding techniques and a personable approach to campaign and ad development, Christopher and his team are able to design highly effective messaging and marketing strategies that resonate with potential buyers. This engagement model has proven successful for nearly 25 years.
Widely known for his success as a serial and digital entrepreneur, Christopher is also regarded as a celebrity music photographer, fine art painter, event producer, and former concert promoter.
In 1993, Christopher cofounded Small World Productions. By 1995, SMP had grown to be one of the largest EDM companies in the United States. Over the next 10 years, Christopher would launch a network of event-focused companies that produced concerts, clubs, film festivals, premiers, product launches, corporate events, weddings, and private parties.
Additionally, Christopher cofounded Small World Studios in 1997, producing a mixed genre of emerging artists. In 1999, he launched MEM, providing artist development and management services. One year later in 2000, he cofounded Unanimity Clothing, the first high-end fashion, action sports clothing line.
Christopher refocused his attention in 2008 and began pursuing a career in photography. By 2009, Christopher was photographing some of the most recognized names in music, including Willie Nelson, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Stevie Wonder, just to name a few. His photography has been acquired by an array of notable people, and continues to be exhibited around the world.
In 2013, Christopher partnered with EUE/Sokolow Entertainment for a reality television series titled, “Backstage Pass”, which showcased his life as a touring photographer. At the same time, a documentary production titled, “Into the Light”, began filming, focusing more on his ‘double life’ as a father and photographer.
Realizing a gap in the market, Christopher launched ImageryNation in 2013, providing licensing and catalog services for recording artists. This venture was followed closely by LegacySpec in 2016, which focused more on branding. Both ventures were acquired.
Christopher retired from photography in 2017, choosing a more settled life with his daughters. Shortly thereafter, he began pursuing his passion for painting large-canvas, abstract works; He is currently preparing his debut exhibition scheduled for mid 2019.
In 2018, Christopher formed a joint venture with longtime friend and industry veteran, Will Loconto, to launch JUXTA Inc, a revolutionary marketing and advertising partner for recording artists and brands. Upon launching, they quickly realized that their diverse professional experience, collective proprietary techniques, and mutual love for helping people, could be offered in a broader, more effective way to drive exposure and revenue for people and businesses…hence the birth of DURST LOCONTO.
Christopher currently resides in Austin, Texas with his two daughters.
